1.1.1. Work based learning processes management

The general idea behind the model of work based learning is that students get acquainted with working place situations, in which they have to produce a product or a service in a given time with restricted resources, like HH.RR., means of production, or money. Project work can be defined in five phases:

In each of these phases different processes have to be managed. As a teacher/trainer you’re responsible to make sure that the project team is working well together, that they are working according to plan, and they have all the resources they need to be successful.

To teach the students soft skills like social skills, conflict skills, (self) management skills and, of course, the competence to participate and create, they are directly included into all project phases and decision making processes. Therefore, you not only have to keep track of work on the content, but also be able to moderate the project group, evaluate the working team, solve conflicts etc. Keep in mind that you act as a facilitator of the project work.
